200 shot or not?!?!?!
The car is done:
Cold fusion nitrous system, purge, heater, window switch, timing control, hobbs switch.
Lingenfelter in-tank fuel pump, -2 colder spark plugs, race fuel.
The system is money. Poweshifting will give you a smoking rear end though 4th. BUT IT IS STILL NOT ENOUGH!!!!
I am debating going a 200 shot this weekend and taking some more timing out. Does anyone know of folks spraying 200 on a stock c5 engine? I hope I don't blow a cylender
Next move= Dynatech headers and high output cam.
Also, any safety tips for going onto a bigger shot (in-line fuel pump? Bigger injectors? just don't do it?).
You can never:
Be too muscular.
Be too good looking.
Shoot too big of a gun.
Drive a fast enough car.
Word.

is this system dry or wet?
well, i've been running a 200 motor rating (139rwhp) for the last year with no ill effects. you already have a good fuel pump.
truthfully, headers would be the next step before bumping up the shot though.Cold Air Intake, Muffler Delete, Vinci High Performance Dual Valve Springs, Hardened Pushrods, Yella Terra 1.85 Rockers, Some Hydropdipped Stuff, Strut Tower Brace, Some SS Badges, boost/vacuum gauge, fuel pressure gauge, some checkered stripes, drilled/slotted rotors, ZL1addons Stealth wickerbill, Ruxifey LED side markers

system is wet. I agree about the headers, but as long as the bitch doesn't detonate, the shot is "free" (already installed, set to go) and the headers will run me $2000 w/ installation.

i still don't have headers on the black car, yet. i have a mission to get into the tens with it on completely stock motor from TB to factory cats. and with my recent dyno tests on n2o, i might just get there.

i have an old buddy that was dropping 200 dry on stock internals. he did it as safe as he could. he had a 75hp initial stage and a 125 final stage. It lasted longer than I expected. He ran through8-10 bottles before he fried the #8 ring. the car ran 11.20 on drag radials. dont remember the mph.

From a fuel standpoint you should be okay. You might want to try running a higher octane fuel and pull a few more degrees of timing when you spray her. A progressive controller will also help get rid of any spikes, therefore taking a lot of the strain off the stock bottom end.

Ok, a dry system may blow at 200 hp/ What about a wet shot? What must I do to shoot more NOS?!

change the jets and pull some timing. and run two steps colder plugs.

As mentioned above....a progressive controller is what I recommend....you are flirting with lunching a motor here...and I know you realize that....forged bottom end and dyno tune would be my minimum prior to going over a 150 shot...but I wear suspenders and a belt on my britches

If it was me, I would go with the FAST direct port syst. to better regulate each cyl.

I shot it at 200 with no problems running 107 octane and the -2 plugs. I wasn't impressed witht he 100 shot and 150 was OK- the 200 shot is what I paid for!!! I will only run the 200 shot at the track and on race fuel and keep it at 150 to play witht he ricers on 95.
Next move:
Car in shop getting Dynatech headers/cats
2 months:
Heads/cam/rockers
4months:
gears
5 months: forged everything, bigger injectors, in-line fuel pump and a 350-400 shot of NOS.
What do you all think? Any other (cheaper/better) way to get my C5 to 450 rwhp na? Any other way to shoot more NOS safely? Thanks for the feedback.
