    Internet explorer messing up...help

    My IE is being stupid, I use mozilla primarily but sometimes have to use IE for certain websites (like my school hw....) anyways its messing up not displaying pictures and just not opening up sites all the way for some reason. How do I completely uninstall it then re-install it?? Thanks

    You have to reinstall windows for that. thats what I was told.

    You should be able to uninstall it from the control panel, add remove programs, windows components. I never tried it, but I know the option is there.

    Internet Explorer usually won't be in Add/Remove programs since it is an integral part of the OS.

    Are you using IE6 () or IE7?

    If still 6, go to the Microsoft update page and install IE7.

    If already at 7, Get a Mac j/k

    HERE is the official Microsoft recommendation for repairing/reinstalling Internet Exploder.

    Seriously though, have you tried the ActiveX plugin for Firefox?

    Also might want to try Opera browser. It works pretty good at displaying IE centric pages.

    But you could try to download a version from Microsoft's page and install it manually. Should replace the current version (even if newer/same) and eliminate the bug.

    Yeah I have IE7 and have went to their website and re-downloaded IE7 again and no prevail. I'll try that page to repair/reinstall IE. Where do I download the activeXplugin for firefox?

    make sure you are not running two different internet conections... are you on cable/dsl? if you are delete/remove the dial up option from your web folder...

    yea i always use firefox, usually works on all webpages that work in IE, including online homework submission sites
