My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
LS1.com Homepage Contest!
OPEN TO ALL LS1.COM MEMBERS:
In the next few months, i'll be redesigning the ls1.com homepage. This is YOUR CHANCE to be a part of the opening movie! I'm in need of frontal car pictures from each of the ls1 families: Camaro, Corvette, Firebird, GTO. I'm also in need of reving sounds too. I will choose the images/sounds that work best for the concept I'm generating; first persons to meet my exact criteria WILL be chosen on or before the deadline. Submissions can be for ONE or BOTH of the following:
I need a frontal picture of your car. Please shoot from 20 feet away, at a 4' height from directly in front, just to the left and just to the right. Please turn your wheels so the rim faces the camera. I require pix with lights/fogs on, and lights/fogs off. Color is left to my discression, backgrounds WILL BE edited out-so don't worry about location. First persons to full fill my requirements will be featured on the new home page design.
Best way to execute:
- Park car.
- set camera on tripod meeting appropriate requirements directly in front of car
- with tires facing forward shoot a pic [lights/fogs off]
- shoot 2nd front pic [lights/fogs on]
- shimmy 3' left of center, turn wheel so rims face camera-shoot picture [lights/fogs still on]
- shoot 2nd pic [lights/fogs off]
- shimmy 3' right of center, turn wheel so rims face camera-shoot picture [lights/fogs off]
- shoot another pic [lights/fogs on]
** Shoot just before sundown
** never ever change your zooms during pictures so that all things will line up when I photoshop them together.
** BONUS: properly expose your shot so that the lights are silhouetted in a dark background, and another where they blend well with the back ground.
Also
I need users to submit sounds of their cars reving. I will choose 4 sound clips to represent the 4 families.
Best way to execute:
- set camera 15 feet away from vehicle rear
- while in neutral, rev the car between 3-5k RPMs
- do sequences of 2-4 revs all in a one minute sound clip, include start up, long and short revs
- refer to current ls1.com home page sound clip for example
- submit original source files [.wmv, .mov, .mp3], no YouTube links.
Submissions due by May 30th
Absolutely no extensions granted.
Submit images/sounds to: homepage(at)ls1.com
NOTES:
* It is not necessary to provide both a sound clip and an image-you can provide one or both. All will be left to my discression whether or not it works with my concept.
* Open to all ls1.com members, no posts necessary to qualify.
* IMPORTANT NOTICE: First persons to meet my exact criteria WILL be chosen on or before the deadlineLast edited by third_shift|studios; 02-25-2008 at 09:20 AM.
