Why does Word do this to me?
i get these weird .tmp or .doc files that show up anytime i open up a word document, then again and again if i save it, the always appear opaque like shown in the picture, wtf? this just started happening, and its annoying, especially cuz i dont know why it happens
any help would be GREAT

Those always show up if you're editing an existing document. They're like a copy of the original file... you're not writing to the original file, you're writing to that temporary file until you save, which saves whatever changes you made to the original. Basically it protects the original. If you don't want those showing up on your desktop while editing documents, save the real file inside a folder (like "my documents"... thats what its for... I hate a cluttered desktop). That way the temporary file will appear in the same folder and not your deskop.
