Spyware/Virus Protection?!
What is the best one to use? I have Norton Anti-Virus on the laptop and I have SpyDefender Pro on the desktop. I'm not sure if I like either one... not to mention is costs $$$ to keep renewing it! I don't trust the free ones.
I'm not a real techie, so any feedback would be great!!

Thanks! I'm running out now, but I will look into AVG antivirus and Mozilla Web browser with ad-aware and registery cleaner when I get back tonight.
So I guess there aren't many Norton or SpyDefender fans out there!
How about McAfee?!

I used to use the Adaware SE which is good for a free program but I have been using Webroot Spy Sweeper for about 18 months now and way better. I can do a sweep with Adaware and then with Spy Sweeper and Adaware always missed stuff.
Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!

For personal computers, not a "real" network, I just use CA. I picked up a three user version of antivirus and anti-spyware for 49 dollars at Staples the other day for a client of mine and it has a 40 dollar rebate. Less overhead than Norton.
I am not a fan of AVG due to several "cheap" clients having contracted virus problems while running it although it is certainly better than nothing.2002 Street ET Champion New England Dragway

I'm cheap and am running F-secure from my ISP for free. Seems pretty good so far.

I use the Trend Micro Virus for virus protection only. There spyware is not the best that's why I have the Webroot SpySweeper just for Spyware. Shit when my computer was new and I took Norton off and added Trend it was sooo much faster!
