Fuck, I would take that 82 Trans Am over that hidious looking Ford. If they were going to go ford they could have at least used a Termi or something like Elenor. I love the dual wing on Kitt now, and the junk ass front end lights. Looks great, even though I am being sarcastic, I just threw up a little.

I think the totally went the wrong way with the new KITT.. If they had used a Mustang it should have had a very stock look so it would blend in with all the other Mustangs out on the road .. just look at the old Firebird KITT... except for its slideing red eye it looks very stock..

I'll watch it, but if it's not very well written I probably won't care...

I didn't care much for the old KR..

oh... Kitt is a Shelby GT 500 "KR"

The wing looks so ricer. The wheels look too ghetto.

After all the shit we give others for doing these things to their cars, how can we support this shit? That car looks so fucking ugly, it's not a joke. It's a testament to how pathetically stupid the car designers and executives who approved it really are. This car definitely looks like it was influenced by ricer/ghetto designers. I can't see any true American muscle car enthusiast putting a wing and wheels like (the black spoke ones) that on ANY Mustang.

What they really should have used instead of this shitbox, was a black lamborghini diablo or something exotic. Fucking stupid TV execs!

After last night, I am definitely not watching this movie. Was out and met a couple of my buddies up. One of them drives a 99 TA (I think it's a 99). The topic of Knight Rider came up and I mentioned how I saw the previews in the theater before I saw Cloverfield. The only good thing about the previews was hearing the main theme on the giant speakers in the theater. The mustang is not a good fit for the movie, and on top of that what pushed me over the edge was when I looked over at my buddy's TA, the front part of the car, under the scoop thing in the hood, would have been perfect for the red scanner. It looks way too fake on the mustang. We decided that the reason it's a Mustang is probably because GM threw so much money at Transformers (and apparently did well marketing-wise) that Ford thought it would take it upon itself to change an American Icon.

I found the scanner online and im buying it for my car...
KITT98 is going to be my new plate
and the knight rider theme will play in my car instead of the annoying ding ding ding...

i wonder if ford will make a KITT for production...
I would totally have smoke a few of those...

"KR" is for king of the Road. Corvette was going to use it but Shelby snatched it up. basically a gt500 with a little more power and different look ie. the hood scoops.

GM did the smarter thing with doing the movie rather than the KR made for tv crap because the movie would do better and did.. lots more people saw it.. there were toys.. etc.. plus there is a sewual already in the works.. the made for tv crap... let FORD go down with that one...

but it's funny because tey probably used "KR" for knight rider...

the king of the road edition shlbies were only a dream at the shows filming time.
