Well, if you were in FL, you would have been arrested for reckless. He would not have needed a radar if he took you for reckless. 80 on the shoulder would do it.
Also, we have a new law here. If you exceed the limit by more than 30 I belive, it is now criminal.
Oh, and down here, you can be mailed a ticket. Just ask the red light runners and toll booth runners.
But, it sounds to me like the cop was just glad you stopped. His patrol car probably couldn't get to more than about 125.

Pewter Metallic- 2002 Trans Am WS6 M6 D1SC
Me and my girlfriend were coming back from North Jersey this weekend taking 202 in her RX-8 and it was starting snowing. This cop passes us in the opposite direction and crossed over the grass median and pulled us over. He said he got us going 76 in a 55. When my girl gave him her license she gave him her uncle and dads friends business cards (NY and NJ cops). He looks at them and says how the roads are getting bad and to slow down then said have a nice day.
Good thing i wasnt driving it would have been more like 85-90

I probably will...I inherited my mother's lead foot...I honestly can't help it sometimes, it's gets bad at times...I wish I could claim it as a medical condition

lol...thanks Spaz, I knew I could rely on you for a moral booster
But seriously, I really like my car and I'd rather not have to get it repaired, then I'd be sad, cause then nothing would work properly again.
I was thinking about it, but he called it while he was standing there to make sure it was my real number.
Yeah, he said he was doing 110 and I was still pulling away from him...I almost laughed when he said this, but I resisted the urge, thankfully.

With as much on the line as you have, it is probably best to get a lawyer now and be prepared for when the ticket shows up.
Just because you may have gotten off, you also may not have gotten off. As far as jurisdiction, around here although local law enforcement, park rangers, marine patrols, local cops, and even the turnpike authority can technically write tickets, they generally only write them in their own territories. However they are capable of writing a ticket anywhere, but they don't usually as there is an unwritten territory rule between each of the departments.
I suspect if you park officer believes you were enough of a danger then any territory infringement is no longer an issue.
Just because you may not see or hear from him again for awhile does not mean you are in the clear. A summons can show up six months later in most states.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
Ok, let me tell you this straight up: NO, you're not done speeding. It's in your blood and you own a high HP car and it'll never go away.
Ask anybody here who's old enough to be your dad: It never goes away! It can only be controlled to a certain degree.
I said the very same thing when I got my 1st speeding ticket at 17. It hasn't gone away yet for me (the need for speed) and it never will. I still have a hard time repressing the need to nail the loud pedal and I'm OLD!
