why is my oil so dirty after 800 miles?

i got a 95 LT1 with a S/C pushing 7psi, and my oil is black as hell only 800 miles after an oil change?? i know that with the S/C unit I should change it about every 2k because its not a self contained unit.

any thoughts?

Just because the oil is black doesn't mean that it's gone bad or anything. Full synthetic oils last longer than other oils, but they still turn black.

Just use Castrol full synthetic if you're not already using it. It doesn't break down till 5k miles or more

i dont run a full syn in my car and have to change the oil every 2k cause of the S/C system

Def. switch to a full synthetic, and don't cheap out on a syntec blend.

You might even feel a slight boost in performance as well as throttle response

I never joke about my gas or my oil

Shell premium and Castrol full synthetic w/ engine restore twice a year (spring and fall)
