O2 Sensors
I have a bank 1 sensor 1 low voltage code.
I am going to get a new O2 sensor, I was wondering which one bank 1 sensor 1 is. I would just replace both front ones but they are both pretty new, I think one was defective damn oreilly parts.

Bank 1 is drivers side, Bank 2 is passenger side. Sensor 1 is precat, Sensor 2 is post cat.

How bad can a faulty o2 sensor make you car run? Can it cause your car to backfire and feel like the car is misfiring. It just seems like it runs to bad to just be an o2 sensor.

A bad precat sensor can make it run bad, if it's recently been replaced and think it might be something else look up the code description/diagnostics at gearchatter.com for your year.

Think I figured it out. melted trough a spark plug wire on my headers. I have some heat shields over them but it melted through the heat shield. What other stuff can i do to prevent my new wire from melting. i think i will just put some more insulation in between.
