    2000 Grand Prix GTP
    2000 Trans Am WS6 M6

    Wheel Protection

    In light of my purchase of new wheels for Nymphadora, I was wondering if there is a treatment I can do to the wheels to keep the paint from scratching. I'm going to go check out Auto Zone tomorrow, but I figured you guys would have more experience then the common cashier.

    are they powder coated or just painted?

    Powdercoated, I think...is there an easy way to tell the difference?

    Haha...yeah...

    Nah, I just want some protection from the stiff brushes used to clean wheels of brake dust, that's all...I don't plan on playing chicken with the curb or anything

    Oh, In that case. You don't need to worry. It will just wipe off. I had some powdercoated one's on my explorer, they were the easiest to clean. Just water and rag. Don't use a ruff brush.

    If they are powdercoated, Simple green and a rag will clean them right up.

    gotta love powdercoat. can't break it either. just don't use a stuff brush on it.
