Header question
I am about to order some Pacesetter LT headers and ORY pipe. I want to get the race style because I want to get rid of egr but the race style have no provisions for O2 sensors. Dont I need to at least have the front O2 sensors which are on the headers? I planed on getting the rear O2 sensors deleted when I get a tune so I wouldnt need rear O2 simulators. Should I just get the regular style headers and use block off plates for the EGR? What do you guys do? Thanks in advance.

i have an 02 and i got the regular style, just a tip for putting them in its a lot easier if u cut off where the egr would hook up and plug it w something before you start putting them in- makes it a lot easier to get to the bolts. and i left my front o2's in and had my rear ones tuned out.

^He's correct. They will have 02 bungs. Get the race ones. Ceramic looks nice too if you can spend a lil more. I recommend stainless tho, even ceramic coated will begin to rust after a few years.

Thanks guys- I think the way it was worded on the description led me to believe their was no O2 sensor on them. Yeah I plan on getting the ceramic coated headers for sure. I am going to look into the stainless ones as well-I would really prefer them depending on how much extra they will cost.

you have to have the o2 sensors on the pace. headers. otherwise you pace setters screwed you. Im positive the come with o2 sensors though. I personally love the no egr crap, frees up some room under the hood

Nice man you will truely enjoy actually seeing your engine and acessing diffrent parts with all the free room that just got cleared up. I personally just love the sounds that long tubes give you. The people just look, and wounder what you have under there

lol yeah i'm hoping so... i just got them in and had to drive home with open headers lol.. how is your clearance after the headers? I was driving in my driveway just now and it was scraping just a little bit.. looked under there and i don't have much clearance, maybe a few inches...
so much for lowering the car

also how long after you got the headers did you dyno tune it? I'm hoping to get it dyno tuned early next week...
and how big of gains did you see before/after the dyno tune?

My camaro is dropped an 1.25 inchs and I have no clearance issues. And, OOOO YES I dyno tuned it. I was running a little lean, and I picked up another 17 horsepower and picked up 12 more torque...

oh wow... um, do you have any pics of the headers installed? Maybe it's normal but mine seem lower than i would like them to be.
