I'm in more of the $6-7.5k range since im paying for the car completely by myself (besides insurance and all of that). however, a 98-99 with 100k is within that range. I will probably just wait. It wasn't my favorite color or anything anyways. If he drops it to $6k or something in the next couple weeks I'll reconsider.

i felt compelled to chime in here. If you don't like the color or transmission or some major feature don't buy it. Maybe you're not as picky as some of us, but i know over time it will nag you to death.

Keep looking, deals are out there, take your time, and get what you want. I wouldn't compromise on anything that is major bucks to replace, change, or modify.
