LS1 T/A Kills Lightning
Well i had read the post about the lightnings being fast and all and then yesterday....
I had pulled into the gas station to fill up. This is a gas station in a plaza area where all the ricers meet up. (thats all i see in my town). Well as i was leaving i forgot to close my gas tank...they were like "hey bro, your tanks open".... I felt stupid because i had never done that and always laughted at the people i saw driving down the freeway with them open. Also i knew they were saying to themselves...."look at the idiot...."
Whatever...i got out closed it and proceeded to the exit. As i pull up i see a ford lightning that pulled up next to me. He was hanging out with the ricers.
Well as we went down the street he gets next to me and starts reving his engine. Obviously supercharged. My friend riding with me knew the guy driving the truck. He said the guy was real cocky and always ran his mouth about how fast his vehicles were. ( he also had a cobra).
So i looked at my friend and said, "well see..." I only got a blank stare back from him, he was kinda unsure...(he used to think my car wasn't that quick untill last night)
So I dropped down 2 gears (A4) and pinned it. I was already neer the top of my rmp so i didn't have much pull. But as soon as i hit 3rd i was gone.
We pulled up at the next light and the guy rolls his window down. He was like "man your car is fast, wait is it auto?" I was like "yep" (nuff said).
He told me to come by another night so that we can run heads up.
So I said what any other LS1 owner would say, "I will. "

here's a toast to the car gods for giving us gm to make a car that can throw u back in the seat like no other production vehicle can for a reasonable amount of money, and for the countless lives that are saved everyday because people like me can blow off steam like they couldnt have before, there is nothing to relax me more than taking my m6 from a 3000rpm 30mph roll flooring it,slamming it in to second driving it through some crazy squirliness and nailing third like it stole something, man what would i do without my ls1

Just be careful as Lightnings have some very impressive 60 foot times. If you race to a decent MPH you should pull just fine. But he should holeshot you at first.
