If you guys know me then you would know I have had my car for about a month or so. Its just a 96 Z28 M6 mods are true duels.
Today I was rolling to a red light and saw a black 300ZX next to me with the fart cans, and I noticed it said Twin Turbo off to the side. "So I think to myself wow I might actually have a race here" So I start by revving at him both of our windows are up so I dont see him but he revs back and his car sounded actually nice, I thought I was going to get raped. The BOV sounded mean as hell. It turns green and we both just punch it with our tires spinning, my rear end fishtails just a little bit and I guess he did too but we were about head to head untill I got to 3rd gear and I started to pull on him and then we started to come to traffic. No ricer flybys or anything, I hope I get to see him again to race. Overall that was the fastest car I have raced so far and glad I won

very nice. not all of the guys that drive imports are ricers. some are real tuners, and put down some seriuos power. you had better watch out in the future. never ever race a talon tsi or eclipse gsx unless you have looked under the hood. that shepherd guy is runnin 7.70's at almost 200 mph with a stock body 2nd gen talon. those things are serious.

Oh yea I know there are a few tuners out there that really can fly and spank me,
But then again I should build up my motor and gut out the car along with taking the A/C out and then see what happens.

No it is, but I am just saying that ricers do that to there cars and then call it fast, even if they do all that shit and beat a V8 its still not a real car no more. Any of us with F-bodies will never take out our A/C and gut out the car for "more power" as our fellow ricers call it.

My import has yet to loose to a STREET car.

I just ran a old school 351 mustang running a 100shot the other night! he jumped me 1/2 a car out of the hole, I shook the tires pretty violently. I caught him and passed him at 100 and by the time I was at 170 I had 2 cars on him.

The Gutting and A/C is only a factor in the Ricers. The actual tuners can give 2 shits about it.

My car doesn't have A/C because my engine didn't come with it. My car is not gutted but has a Rollcage installed for safety.

My car will run close to 200MPH so if I have a blow out I wanna live to tell the story. Safety is first in my book. I never race without checking out the area first and the road ahead. I know once I lay the hammer down Im not backing off!

Yea but your car is an actual race car.
Im talking about hondas who want to break out of 17s and get into the 16s or 15s. But then there are some decently build cars that would run 13s or so then they gut out there cars and take out a/c then they run into the 12s.

There is 3 kinds of poeple in the car business.
*The kind that thinks there 4 cyl is the baddest ride a man can have = RICER
*The kind that knows real power when they see it and knows what it takes to make a fast car v8 + Boost = HOLY SHIT!!
* Or the kind that likes to be different and knows what it takes to make a car fast and decides to be different by taking something thats hated on and mix the best of both worlds.

I personally understand and LOVE the raw power of a v8 and respect everyone who ownes one thats modified. I also like to be different and take something thats not legit and make it cool!!! I know its not cool being the only import at a track but it is cool being the only import to hang with the big dogs!!

Thats why I own A stroker trans am and a 240sx.

Yeah, deleting A/C on a DD is not something I'd consider. Lose the spare and jack, remove the EGR if applicable, get a pin-on hood, pull insulation from the doors, replace front seats with some nice Recaros, maybe delete rear seats and carpet. Lose some unsprung weight with lighter rims, drilled and slotted rotors? There are ways to cut weight without losing too much comfort!

While at the dyno shop over the summer I found a GUTTED 3000GT VR4 AWD. Only a driver seat and everything else was bare metal! Even had a strut tower brace over the rear suspension. Who needs a rear seat when you could bolt in a big ass nitrous tank?

I know those cars are pigs in full trim, especially with AWD but this thing must have had a nice power to weight ratio. Unfortunately it was painted some kind of radioactive puke yellow

Yea I see what you guys are saying, I have my Z28 but i also have a 300ZX twin turbo but i dont use it for racing, i rarely drive it around the city and shit but I mostly use it for drifting and just messing around

Those 300zx TT are good handling cars. Especially for drifting. The car is well balanced! But they are still quick. Im sure nothing compared to the z28, but decent for being a heavy car. Im sure when you do drive it your taunted alot?

I had an eagle talon AWD turbo I used as a daily driver a few months back. I sold it because every were I went someone was trying to race me. Absolutely nothing done to the car except a boost controller. Stock Everything!! Even factory wheels. But All the mustangs and Camaro's kept trying to race. I only race if I have something competitive to race and in the talon the gears are so terrible it was nearly impossible to hit 3rd on a speed shift.

So now I daily drive my s10 and I get no taunts

I've always liked the 300ZX, sexy car for sure It sucks to be messed with all the time though. I love to drive my Z28 but on longer trips we tend to take the Alero because it's like all of the sudden I'm invisible, and sometimes that is nice.

Sleeper, that sux about selling the Talon on account of the endless taunts. I'm not a big fan of that platform but regardless of the car, I could see that getting old after awhile.
