key chip security problems
hello all
Im having problems with the key chip and the ignition in my 94 z28, sometimes the car doesn't start and the security light comes on and stays for few minutes, I wondering what can I do to get rid of this problem. it happens when you least expected. the key is clean so I think the problme is ignition( sterring wheel) because sometimes when I try to start the car with my remote starter, it won't start sometimes.
help please. anything will help thanks

I would order a new blank key from GM and then get it cut and try it first before taking apart your ignition.

read the sticky at the top of the page and just bypass vats if the new key doesn't help you. Cheap and easy to do.

yeah, read this and it'll tell you how to fix it. Your other option is to replace the ignition.
VATS bypass
