1993 intake vs 1994
will the intake from a 1993 work in a 1994? what could i do to make it work properly (electrical connections etc..)? thinking of purchasing a 94 formula with a 93 lt1 installed. would the 93 intake work with electrical harness from the 94? the car seems to run fine with the 93 intake but there is a ses light on. what will connect and what wont?
Thanks,
Sean

Are you talking about the manifold?
If so, then it wouldn't directly work. The 93 LT1's used mass density instead of a MAF. They also had a 4L60 tranny instead of the 4L60E. The stock injectors for the 93's were a different size than the 94+. There are a few other things, but I can't think right now, I got a final in a few hours.

Wait I thought the 93-94 camaros where the same thing? They have the same body, same motor, same everything or so I thought?

No, the 93's were a standalone model, the way I look at it. They changed some things for 94 to 95. Then changed some more things for the 96's and 97's.
I found a site that tells the differences between each year, but I'm on my laptop, not my PC, and I don't have it saved on here.

If you have a chance to find that site, can you post it or send me a PM, I am interested to read about the differences.

I think this guy was originally asking would a cold air kit for a '93 motor fit in a '94 car. And then his question just kind of ventured off into somewhere else...
The '92 & 93 LT1 was a bit different infact with the speed density/multi-port injection, 22lb injectors, slightly different cam profile when compared with 94-97 LT1, the fact that 2.73's were offered for the M6, and 3.23 was the highest ratio offered, leather was not available, and so on and so on. It was sort of a trial and error year for GM.

Red- 1995 Chevy Camaro
Also, to add a little, the 93 intake manifold is missing the fuel crossover for the fuel rails (the return line). It is a little indention where fuel line crosses from one side to the other. You cant mix and match manifolds OR fuel rails from a 93 to a 94-97 car.
PS everyone I sold my camaro. Im leaving the LT1 tribe.... Going LS BABY!

Anyone else notice that the original poster hasn't replied back to clarify anything?

Is the only thing I need to alter in the intake a notch for the crossover tube on the fuel rail or is there another mod that is required?
I am buying a 383 with LE heads and ported intake and I want to ensure that I do not need to have another intake posted to match the heads.
Thanks in advance for the replies.
