Which convertible looks best top down & top up ?
Firebird or Camaro ?
Also which is fastest & quickest in 1/4 mile ?
Which holds the record for top speed top up or down ?

Black- 1998 Trans Am WS6 'Vert
The only fair comparison I've seen (same track, same day, same driver) was the Aug '99 issue of C&D where they had a shoot out between a '99 SS and '99 WS6 (30th anniv), both verts, both M6 and a '99 Cobra 'vert. The SS and WS6 was about the same 0-60, but the WS6 slipped through the 1/4 mi a tad faster and was ahead a chunk by 150. The SS topped out at 158 while the WS6 hit the speed limiter at 162. The WS6 even wheighed more than the SS. Apparently that "Ram Air" does indeed help.
As far as looks, don't ask me as I may be biased.

I have a Red 2000 Camaro Vert and I don't like how it looks with the top down. I don't like the huge back window on the coupe either but like everybody knows that has a f-body vert you can't see crap!!!

My convertible looks the best top up and top down ...just kidding...sorta
I think they all look good, SS looks nice both ways, Pontiac versions have sweet looking hoods, but some do not like the flat spoilers on the verts... It is all a matter of preference
Best performance in stock vehicles boils down to the best driver

I too, am probrobly biased. But I do like the looks of both the TA and Camaro. Top up or down doesn't matter to me.

We're talkin stock without any mods ! And as far as the problem seeing out the back of our Verts. , It's worth it for that real cozy look, especially with really dark tinted windows . That mod is ok.

triple-black- 2000 CamaroSS convertible
only thing i don't like about the TA vert, is the spoiler not being the same as the non-vert... love both cars... prefer the front end of the TA, though.
Mine looks cool... triple-black, fairly classic, i guess.
decently fast too only 511rwhp NA

white- 1998 TA WS6 CONV
Both up and down!
I like to show both ways, but I prefer contrasting colors body to top. They go fast either way!!!
