Sebring Silver Metalic- 2002 Camaro Z28
Can't pull a steering wheel, help
Ok, so I have a steering column and wheel i bought, so its not on the car.
I have pulled steering wheel soff with a universal before, but we are taling a 67 firebird. It was quick easy and simple, no pain.
I can't get the steering whell off of a column that has radio controls and is from a manual. Is there a trick? I have the retaining nut off, air bag off, the puller is on, but no pop. I have bent the puller bolts in the process so these baby is on tight.
What is the trick to separate it?
thanks

always dirty- 2013 Ram 2014 Caddy ATS
i checked my haynes manual and it says just use a puller. Was the column from a junkyard? If so it might have some rust. Spray some penetrating oil on the shaft.

it's from a wrecked car. I have some real good pen oil. I'll give it a shot. Yeah I have the Haynes as well, not always an in depth guide. That's why I posted. I have pulled steering wheel sbefore, real easy, just pops off no hassels.
thanks i give it a shot

FINALLY
I had to beat the snot out of it with my claw hammer. The fat non-marking soft hammer wasn't enough. Well now that my steering wheel puller bolts are bent, ugh... They took one heck of a beating.
man, that was one of the worst. I just when ape nuts and said hell or high water. It either comes of or i break the whole darn thing.
