I was wondering how much this helps performance wise, thanks.

I use the fan switch to cool down between rounds at the strip. Not while driving. I let the computer handle that part !

Blue- 2000 Camaro SS Convertibl
I'm guessing you're talking about the "override" switch that allows you to keep the fan running at all time, not just when the car heats to a certain temp. The SS I bought this spring came with this option, and I don't think the things worth a hill of beans. I noticed no improvement turning it "on", even in hard acceleration in the summer time. So I doubt you'll see any improvement using it for a V-6, if you can't notice it on a V-8.
I'd save the money and use it for a coolant flush (if you hav'nt had it done in 40,000 miles or so), or slapping a Flowmaster on, you'll see more noticeable improvement in car performance doing that.

I have the 160 t-stat and programmed the fans for 160, and it never gets hot... 185 is the highest it seems to go. Thats street cruising & at the track !

I bought my car this last month and ive already changed oil belts filter flushed dexcool etc etc and ordered a emblem from TSS. and its got no cats... and the 3 inch flowmaster exhaust and the free HP mods... btw.
Plus I think the fan panel im getting looks sweet. I know this summer ill need that switch. The last cruise in of the year was a week after I purchased my car.lucky

I can honestly say that the 80 series flowmaster doesnt suck...put it on the car, and noticed gains.
