98-02 Seat Cushions
Hey all,
Has anyone heard of anyone making new replacement seat foam for 98-02 F Cars?
I knew that the bottom front cushion was the same as the 93-97’s but I dont even see anyone offering replacement cushions for those anymore!
Do late Third Gen’s work?
This is getting outrageous!

I think your best option is a local upholstery shop.

How's your research? My uncle is looking at 99 F as next project. We'll fully inspect it soon after we finished installing the brake kit, tire and wheel packages onto the Silverado. He took a quick look at it and it seems both front seats need replacements.

No joy on new seat foam, I am kinda pissed because I found 93-96 new seat foam that the bottoms would’ve worked but they are all discontinued.
Id be happy to pay for custom seat foam to be made, and not just have someone add foam on an old one, but no one seems to do that anymore.

Honest answer, seat upholstery work (other than replacing portions of the cover) is not all that difficult and would make a good winter project. I re-did the seats in our Corvette and helped a friend install new covers on an Impala. As for the foam, you can source suitable replacement pieces that you simply have to carve into shape (an electric knife works great) from a variety of sources.

I have a lot of things going on, and would rather it be done by someone who knows what they are doing, instead of me getting OCD on it.
I bought a used passenger side seat that looks pretty good. The seat side bolsters are still where they should be (not flat like me drivers side seat bottom) and the leather is in better
shape. Looks like the leather seat covers are transferable from one side to the other.
I am going to clean the leather and put plenty of conditioner to help keep it more supple, then have a trim shop do the swap, maybe have them do a little extra foam reinforcement on the bolsters, to help keep me in place during harder turns.
Plus I get extra seat bits!

There are a lot of car upholstery in Maryland. I'm just not sure which one is near your residence. Google is your friend.
