2002 Camaro Z28 strtr fuse
2002 Camaro Z28 LS1 Automatic 129k miles, I was under the hood checking the fuses with a test light and noticed the strtr fuse was dead, no power on either side. The owners manual says "Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and Clutch Pedal Switch". Should it be hot on an auto car or just on a manual 6 speed? No problems with the car except for the ABS and Brake light being on but I have 18's on the back and 17's on the front, (corvette wheels). Thank you....Ralph

That fuse will only be hot when ignition switch is in the start position, according to the schematic from the service manual. The ABS problem really needs to have the system checked for DTC codes, but if the tire and wheel sizes are not the same size as the stock wheels, the ABS controller may be seeing different wheel speeds than normal.

Thank you for the reply, I looked at the schematic in the back of a Haynes manual and you're right, it says hot in start and run. And it still has no power in either. It shows the red wire coming from the starter to the switch and then leaves on a yellow wire to fuse block #2 under the hood. It has had an aftermarket radio put in it at some point with remote control, I'm going to look under the dash when I have time. Someone may have used the yellow for a hot wire , who knows. Thanks again...RT

I've attached a link to the schematics of the circuit from the service manual. Notice the yellow wire will not have power until the switch is in the start position. Check the switch for the correct operation if the yellow wire doesn't have power at the fuse block with the switch in the start position. It could have a bad set of contacts.
