Saints fans are a bunch of sore losers. It's not the 1st game that had bad calls, won't be the last either. Funny how they ignore the calls they got away with after and before this one.

Now there's a lawsuit too....
Yeah I've bitch about bad calls before but to go as far as this makes Saints fans calling for a do over a bunch of
And on that note.....GO Rams!!!!Last edited by SMWS6TA; 01-23-2019 at 08:55 AM.

They are taking it to far. It sucked but it is what it is. Moving on. I do think it's inexcusable that call wasn't made. I've sat through hundreds of ticky tacky bullshit PI calls over the last couple seasons and this one was far more obvious than 75% of those.

Managed to find a patch of ice on my way to class last night. Things went sideways in a hurry. Fortunately, no parked cars or oncoming traffic to slam into.

So 2 (possible dumb ass) questions.
What could be the reason I'm breaking wheel studs? I mean I keep breaking wheel studs. I have to use specific nuts for both my wheels, luckily they are the same lug nut. And I know how to put them on without cross threading so I know that's not it. I'm not using a 2000 lb gorilla to tighten them down so or a impact. I can't see how I'm over torquing them but I'll accept that could be the answer.
On the rear I installed ARP wheel studs and ended up snapping 2 studs thus ending my race day after just 3 passes. I had to take one of my new drag wheels off cause a damn weight came loose and manage to get between the wheel and the rotor and ate into my new wheel So in trying to take it off that's when I broke 2 studs.
And now to replace these studs is going to really cost me cause in order to do so I have to cut off the axle bearing to have enough room to install the 2.5: studs.
So now to my 2nd question - Is there any good reasons not to drill an access hole on the brake backing plate in an open area that doesn't effect the e brake or other functions that will give me access to the studs? I have seen backing plates that don't completely enclose.

What are you taking the nuts off with? Breaker bar or such? You say you're not using an impact to put them on but what about taking them off? I'm wondering if when you put a breaker bar on there you're side loading those studs is my point I guess. If they're snapping with an impact that rules that out.
I'm not sure on drilling the backing plates. My gut tells me you'd probably be just fine....not sure I'd ever tell anyone to do that though. "If" that ever did snap off trying to stop on the big end you could be in a world of shit in a hurry.
So basically.....I have nothing haha

Another thought.....any signs of wear on the studs like the rim is moving around? You say "special lugs"....what do you mean by that? Are they tapered or flat?

Stupid tuner lugs.
No idea, otherwise. My firebird lugnuts are the ET Conicals (with the 'lip' that protrudes into the wheel for more stud engagement), they seem to always have a deposit of aluminum on them where the tapered seat is. Last time I had them off I used a fine grit sanding drum and took the aluminum off and used a touch of anti-seize. We'll see what happens after that.
