    I wonder if anyone just bothered with cutting unsprung weight and total weight enough to beat out a hybrid model?

    People spend a lot of time adding crap/ valueless weight when they should just be looking at light/stronger components.

    Remember when the Gen V Camaro’s out, and 4th gens with only the slightest more we’re eating thier lunches? That’s what 500 pounds of extra weight does.

    Moving from the Zeta to the Alpha chassis was a step in the right direction for the 6th gen.
    3,685 pounds (SS model) is still on the heavy side compared to the 4th gen, but the 455/455 LT1 helps

    It is really cool to see what some of these college kids can do, but I think it would help them to realize just how much benefit there is to reducing weight vs. adding more complexity where it isn't necessarily valid.
