Dash pad reproduction
I had ordered a reproduction dash pad (not a cap) the real replacement pad for my '98 T/A. It is perfect. It was from a company called "plastic parts" They got bought out by Acuform and their phone number is
435 635 9273. The part number is CF98-01D. The price is $229. They have many replacement plastic items. Glad they are still making these.

I have, this is for my second T/A. both of them I've ordered are great. One thing I would do when taking your original out, is to take care of the grill/vent area with the alarm light in it. You will want to save that piece. You will want to replace the light fastener section from the new dash and put your original light fastener on it instead. I wish I had done this with my first one. The new dash light fixture does not come with the "ears" to lock the light fixture down. I used a dremel with a thin cutting wheel, then used porting sand rolls to get the rest of the glue off of it. Then re attached the original to the new pad with gorilla glue epoxy. Just take your time and it will turn out great. If not, to make the light stay in the fixture you will have to glue it in. Getting the old one off of the dash, I used a very small drill bit, becareful, it's really brittle stuff (which is why we replace them) or maybe use the dremell to cut away the four small rivets holing on. I hope this helped. If you need to change the color, duplicolor has all the matching paints for plastic.

Oh yeah, one more thing. You will have to enlarge the hole for the light bulb with a 5/16th drill bit

I've sticky this thread for future reference. I know I need a new pad.

Are the Camaro pads the same as the Firebird pads?
Are they from Fl?
