Need New Valve Springs. Suggestions?
My valve springs are at the limit of their serviceable mileage.
I have some machined heads and mild cam (360 whp) with room to grow to about 400-450 whp. I'm still running stock intake/exhaust, but may change these out eventually.
I've done some cursory searching through various options, but not sure how to differentiate what's available.
I run Amsoil Z-Rod exclusively in the engine, in case that matters.

Ah, yes... Silicon Steel... I just learned about that researching magazine springs. It seems like a no brainer in a valve spring application.
Vinci's website says the dual springs will not fit iron heads... Not sure whether mine are iron (but I think they are).
Scott, thanks for the reference.
Now I have a bunch of homework to do.Lid, Throttle Body, LS6 Intake, Heads, Cam, Magnaflow, LS7 Clutch, SFCs, STB, Panhard Bar, Strano Springs, Hollow Sway Bars, Poly/Roto LCAs, Konis, MGW Shifter

Iron heads come on truck motors like 6.0. 5.7 are aluminum. If you want to make sure, put a magnet to the heads.

Oops. I thought that the LS1 had aluminum block and iron heads, while the truck motors had iron top and bottom.

GM got away from iron heads when they went to GEN III LS.
