*** WTF Weather March TRAIN ***

more goodies showed up today for the bird. ebc yellow stuff front brake pads and 2 degree pinion shims for the rear. we aquired a new location for autocross this year and it's on an abandoned airstrip. they used to run there years ago and those who remember running there remember hitting higher speeds than first gear allows. one member ran a c5 z06 and was catching third. with the higher speeds i wanted to get some better pads to avoid overheating and the possibility of fire. with our normal courses it's not uncommon for the brakes to be smoking anyway, so just another step in the right direction. the shims are an attempt to quell a very slight oscillating vibration that showed up after adding the solid steel axle locators. when I lowered the car I knew there was a possibility of vibration but it wasn't an issue when I was running the stock replacement rubber locators/isolators. the solid locators lowered the rear another 1/8" or so and now around 70mph I get a little bit of a vibe. adding this to the list of things I need to get done before driving season starts brings it up to about 5 things I need to do.

Bright sunny day, but too cold out to wash cars. I was hoping to give the 'Burb a bath and move it to the building this afternoon. Going to head up there in a few to drop the new insurance cards in all the cars and get the mileage for registration renewals on a few.

Already have one ready to install, along with the rear diff/gear swap and new seals etc. Need to come up with a better way to clean up the axle housing than wire/flap wheels. Takes forever that way.

I may take you up on that. I have some big tarps I can put down to catch the overburden.

Fail. Stupid crank pulley bolt on the 3.5 Honda is a bitch. Even with the air pressure cranked my gun would not touch it. Guess I am ordering the special tools to pull this one off.

I went and got the wire harness for the Grand Prix for the future Supercharger swap. Looks like I need to make a couple of repairs to connectors. Some are brittle as hell. Also the knock sensors are on the bottom side of the motor and in the most inconvenient of places too. Thanks GM.

Also think I figure out why I've been having daily (all day long) migraines for the last 3 weeks. Somehow I've been taking in too much caffeine (specifically from tea and coffee). Friday night I felt like I was having a stroke. Saturday just took in water all day and felt like shit all day, but by evening I noticed that with drinking just the water and Gatorade no migraine. Sunday same thing.

Xfingers today goes the same way.

See that's what I had thought at first, but I was well hydrated.

Ordered that and also the tool to hold the crank pulley in case I need to utilize a breaker bar and big ass pipe.

New car got rained on yesterday. And will get rained on again today. Tried out the automatic wipers on the ride home last night and they worked great. Just about the time I would have triggered the wipers they engaged. I am really liking the new ride.
