2016 Camaro SS - Summit- 2001 Trans Am WS6 - NBM
I second Painless. I have a friend who got one for his 355 build in his 84 shortwide, and my brother got one for his 5.3 LS swap in his 67 C10. Both were somewhat.....painless.

looking at painless site it seems that pn 10101 is the right choice but summit doesnt offer it. not looking to customize just want to replace existing one. just replaced every gasket, hose, plugs,ac,plugs,ps, alt, sensors, tranny, etc in the last month. all thats left is injectors [suggestions?] but want to change harness first. mechanic says he can get good use harness but i don't know.

Unless you're bumping up in mods/hp then the stock injectors are fine.
Summit is listed as a vendor.
You may need to call them and ask. I've had to do that a couple of times and they had what I was looking for but for some reason not on the site.

Is this for the 98 Trans Am?
If so you need to look for PN 60508 06 60509. The difference is extra wire length for the injectors.

Now my only concern is you need to find out if the harness is made specific for the 98.
98's have a different harness and ecm then 99-02. The 99-00 had a specific ecm and the 01-02's had a slightly different ecm over the 99-00.

WILL check it out. is extra length necessary? had two injectors replace this month the rest are the ones that came with the car. they have 275k miles on them. is there a life expectancy on these?. would it be advisable to change these at the same time i change harness or just replace them when they fail/ thanks as always for your input.

Length - not really.
Injectors - it may be time to have them cleaned up and serviced. I found a shop that bench tested mine, cleaned and replaced any potential faulty internals for about $25 per injector. There are places online that do it but they were about $35-50 per injector. Injectors are kinda in the category of if it isn't broke don't fix. A good injector cleaner will go a long way as well as quality 91/93 octane gas.
