It's in the upper 60's here, but the winds are horrible, keep reigniting embers, and the air quality really sucks.

Anyone know where KR lives?
I'm wondering if the fires are getting closer to her home.

I sent Dena a text the other night. The Rye fire was pretty close and they had packed to evacuate but so far they were still ok. Sounded like the winds were really bad still. If I don't hear from her today I'll send her another text to see how they are.

I'm here and so far we're still good. The Rye fire is 15% contained now. It got way too close for comfort for a while there. As long as the winds don't bring it back this way we'll be good. Still have things packed up and ready to go just in case until the fires are better contained. Thanks for checking on me

Going up into NY this morning with my brother to look at another M151 military jeep. He has been making steady progress on his. Might be time to actually put the engine back together.

We are in drought conditions here, high fire danger this week, with 15-30 mph winds for at least the next 5 days.... Oklahoma may be Cali Jr. soon.
Glad to hear you are OK Dena, I have family over there as well and it was looking pretty scary for a while. Some of the pictures my cousin put on Facebook looked more like Mordor than SoCal....

Here's some pics from the Snow Apocalypse of South Alabama.
Stormy (my dog) loved it. Had to dragged her back in.
