WS6 Aftermarket Hood??
Where did you guys get your hoods from? I want to buy one for my 99 T/A but just wanna hear some other opinions first. I want one that works the same way as the regular WS6 hood, and preferably not fiberglass because I've heard they shake and rattle way too much.
So other than suncoast (because they open from the top rather than right in the nostrils), where should I get my hood from?

I dont know the manufacture of my hood but it is fiberglass and it doesnt shake and rattle. Im getting a stock WS6 hood at some point because fiberglass apparently fades easier.

Unfortunately its got the gay giant square opening in the middle of the hood.(underneath). I sealed it up and made it just like the ws6 tho. and sealed it off. It works well. but I would just find a good used ws6 or get the true blue new ws6.

I have a Factory WS6 Hood that I got from a Swap meet back in `99 for $250
Obviously it was a steal but please don't buy one if you think it adds any performance cause it doesn't. I will agree that it gives the car that Aggressive look but that's it. Oh yeah and the Factory hoods are around $1500 and are Fiberglass also. As for paint mine was done back in `99 by a Pro and still looks great.Craig

yup they are, i just took out my baffles today and a bit of the fiberglass comes off with the glue of the front ones. I'm gonna make a thread about taking them out cause i found a quick and easy way to do it.

I have heard good things about RamAirHoods.com
At least their hoods look authentic unlike the suncoast hoods.Last edited by 9T8W66; 11-24-2007 at 05:34 AM.

yeah, they are built like the ws6, but is being made of plastic a bad thing? i know almost the whole front end of the car is plastic, but the hood wasn't...
that's why i was worried it would shake/rattle

I just looked at ramairhoods.com and their hood looks simlar to the Suncoast hood. Here try this one it actually looks better than most of the others I've seen.
