Need new speakers, what to get??
I just got a 99 T/A, and the passenger side rear seat speaker is blown i think. Everytime the bass hits it cracks and is VERY annoying. I want to get it fixed asap but I don't know much about sound set ups..
I don't want anything that is near expensive, just want to get it fixed and maybe give me a little sound. I probably won't even get subs.
Should I replace just that ONE speaker with something nice or will that sound wierd lol? I wouldn't mind changing out the door speakers and the 2 rear ones if it's not too expensive..
I want to do it very soon so the sooner I get replies the best  thanks guys!

how much do you want to spend? remember that the back speakers are mid bass only, like a sub. you cant put regular speakers in the back, unless you disconnect your hatch speakers and run the wires to the seats.

i paid $130 to put a couple of eu700s in. they sound awesome on the stock monsoon amp. it just depends on what you want. there are a couple of 6.5 subs available or some 8s are available with some cutting.

sroach20 is right on with his description of the rear (the ones near the passenger seats) speakers. From the factory, they do not reproduce the entire frequency range. Plus, with the Monsoon amp, the run at a different ohm rating. There are many threads about how this is set up. Splitting the wire from the rear speakers will give you the full range of freqs but you wouldn't want to do that just to one side. You can find a good set of 6.5 in speakers for well under $100.

yup, they dont play the higher frequencies. if you wanted to install regular speakers you would have to detach the wires from your 4" hatch speakers and run those wires to the seats. otherwise you would need to find some mid bass speakers.

same problem here, those rattling speakers suck balls, so the 6.5 fit in good? i thought they were 6 inch speakers will these eu700s be better than some alpines or whatever i get at bestbuy?
