Jasper rebuilt diff?
Anybody have any experience with their rebuilt 10 bolt differentials? I am thinking of getting one for my 02 Z28 6M that is in need of a new rear diff. I don't race or plan to mod the car. I am more concerned with rear end whine / noise.
They want 2k for the diff, but on the bright side it does come with a 10 year / 100k mile warranty. If I could get a 9 inch or a 12 bolt that didn't whine anymore than the factory, then I might be willing to go that route.
What do you guys think?

2K is a rip off the 10 bolt is a POS as you have found out. Personally I'd get a 9in mods or no mods it's piece of mind. The warranty is nice but you still get a POS 10 bolt and maybe stuck on the side of the road.

have a 9" with 4.30's and the gears are alot quieter than my 10 bolt. Its a little louder only because I have a Detroit Locker.

I decided to go with the 10 bolt in order to easily retain my 3-channel abs without too much trouble. I'll let you guys know how it turns out.

Agreed the 9" is the way to go. On the other hand Jasper is a great company who stands by their warranty. I bought a 2.5 iron duke for my s-10 years ago and it was a bit noisy so they sent me another motor and payed to have it installed. Gotta love that.

But yeah if your going with the 10 bolt why not just buy a good used one for a few hundred bucks?
