damn it were getting off topic, what would it take for my car (specs mentioned above) for my car to beat it (nitrous not an option im 16 and mom knows what it is)
-

I told you what you needed to beat performance wise.
Mid 13s in the quarter.
There should be a ton of guys on here with LT1s that run that.
This site is LS1 centric but there are still a lot of LT1s here.
See what their mods are and duplicate.
It's gonna take $$$ and nitrous is the cheapest way to get there.

yea i realize nitrous is fastest, but, and this sounds really dumb but my mom wont let me get it

Nah, that doesn't sound dumb. It's part of life.
It will simply change one day into "My Wife won't let me do it"
But to the point at hand, I think you'll need at least intake, exhaust, and headers + some sticky tires to use your enormous torque advantage off the line.
Plus, the way an LT1 with exhaust sounds, he might chicken out after hearing it.
Good Luck!

Drag radials.
The Mickey Thompsons have a better reputation than the Nittos but are more expensive.
Only use 'em for draggin' though.
They are soft and will wear VERY quickly if used as a daily driver.

dude, without spending loads of money, your not gonna get that much more. you need tires to hook but unless you want to spend big $$$$ on internals and or F/I you need nitrous, just that simple. or get some really low gears to kick his ass off the line

You'll need to spring for some good rear tires at minimal (do some traction/price research here http://www.tirerack.com/index.jsp?s_kwcid=tirerack|685634413&keyword=tirer ack&code=yes&GCID=S13674x009-branded3&), and ensure you've done all the free mods:

http://www.ultimateresourceguides.co...-freemods.html
http://www.ls1lt1.com/forum/faq.php?faq=lt1faq
If you can come up with a small budget, you'll get some good advice here on where to spend it to get the most for your money. You can do some research here http://www.dragtimes.com/compare2.ph...ame=Compare%21 on ETs and what mods were done to get there. Just look at the 93-97 models.2002 WS6 Trans Am, A4, SLP lid, P&P TB, 3500 stall, 24K GVW tranny cooler, HPTuners, Pacesetter LTs, Bassani dual exhaust with 'x' crossover, coolant bypass, sealed airbox to hood.

get intake and a ported throttle body, with tb bypass, and air foil, and de screen your maf that will give you at least another 30 ponies
-

and intake elbow

there is no way that those mods will net him 30 hp! that wont even get that much on an ls1 which is more responsive to mods. the descreen of the maf will only hurt him

The free mods, done correctly, should net you somewhere in the neighborhood of 10-15rwhp, the equivalent of a .1-.15 gain in the quarter. (Maybe 20 at the crank) Definitely worth doing.

No matter what you say about a car if its not 8cyl (wesman) will talk trash about it and pick it to death down to how much PSI you run in the tires, Your basically talking to a trash can with dead bloody bodies in it. I picture (wesman) as an american Hero!!!!
A tribute to you buddy:

Purple- 1998 T/A convertable
Theres a gen 2 near me with a 20b 3 rotor in it, so lord knows what could be done. 250hp would be about %50 for that car though. Anythings possible, while you're building up to beat him, he could be going faster, too....

I don't think hes got much for top end, but the good thing is the kid is awful driver and his car is a 5 speed so that will definitely hurt him
