Just put 4.10's in my car and it really made a differnce!
I changed them out last week and have really liked the way it acts with the 4.10's.

I have a M6 in my car. The gears are factory GM gears. I have only had the car up to around 115MPH in 6th so I really don't know how much top end I lost yet. I will let you know though!

Is it better to just change gearing or opt for a 12 bolt or 9 inch? I know thats quite a difference but I plan on doing a few things, just wondering where the money could best be spent. Do you drag race at all?

I already had the gears and the carrier from another rear end I had laying in the shop. I just bought the normal install kit(shims, crush sleeve, nut and marking compund). I think I paid around $25-$30 for that. I do all of my own gear changes in everthing I run so I didn't have to pay a shop to do it. Then I topped it off with Amsoil severe gear oil 75w90.
