02 ws6 vs 05 mustang

hello everyone! i recently purchased an 02 ws6 m6 and i already love the damn thing!! it has a cold air intake and cat-back exhaust on it. how will it compare to my friends 05 mustand 4.6L 5 speed? the stang has full performance exhaust (no cats) and a programmer.

my buddy has a 06 gt and he had just a exhaust and intake and i could still beat him in my ws6 but now he has a tune and 4.11 gears and usually can take me but im all stock.

You should be able to take him, ive taken plenty of newer GT's with just an exhaust and lid when I had my Z.

prolly 5-8 hp...
and some throttle response is where u would be able to tell the gain

for the money its prlly worth it..

Seal your hood, debaffle, do a P&P and bump stop mod on your TB. Those items should give you plenty of power to take him. Lids are pretty cheap too...

You should practice your launch, and learn the best shift points for your driving style. Practice and experience are everything, but every cars different, if you're new to it, like luos says drivers going to win the race.

You should be able to edge him out. Then again I have yet to race one myself but generally speaking most guys say the LS1 will out run it.

i have an 04 gto with nothing but a cold air and my buddy has an 05 gt350 with pully ,tune, 4:11,charge plates,long tubes, and full basani exhaust and i still walked on him once we stopped spinning. The gto is supposed to be slower than the camaro/firebird so you should destroy him unless i have a freak on my hands.

p.s. i also have to admit he is a better driver than me
