im not understanding y they need 8.2 L to make 600 horse though? lingenfelter does 616 flywheel horse with a cam and long tube headers on the c6z06??? car should be in the neiborhood of 700 with that displacement

the article says "At 3000 rpm, the V8 makes 540 lb-ft, and the number never drops below 500 all the way to 6000 rpm, just 200 revolutions short of redline."

I'd say thats pretty beefy and flat

yeah i guess.....but do u really NEEED it to be that flat with that much horsepower? lol so theres 50 horse diff at low rpms ...can u really use it on the street? ..put it to the ground?

That is why. Road race. Power anywhere in the curve, and make that power reliably.
More cam in that motor would make a LOT more HP. But if you don't need it, why do it?
