Why I love owning my F-body
I think its really awesome how whenever Im driving around and I see another F-body everyone gives a thumbs up, waves, or throws a rev. I saw a really nice black SS on the 408 the other day and we looked at eachother and gave the thumbs up, last night I was taking a friend of mine for a drive and a red LT1 drove by, honked and gave a thumbs up. If I park my car in parking lot sometimes I will come back out from the store and see another F-body parked next to mine. Its like a world of respect for eachother I think its awesome.

Yeah, It's great how there is kind of like a family aspect just from buying the same car. Thing is, I don't get a lot of response from people around here when I honk or wave.

I've noticed that around me, other F-body's will honk or wave or give the thumbs up too. I've even got it from a few Vette's. But those gay bastard mustang and tuner guys...They're almost one in the same. They hate GM, and they think their shitty cars are the fastest things out there. I like to give em a good ol' 6 grander!!!

I'm all respect with fellow F-body owers, I've always considered them to be allies on the streets. I love a friendly race, because usually f-bodies are the fastest things out there so its always a rush to race a brother.

Welcome to the SF Bay Area .... If they have the same car they feel anything they have has got to be better so, they think they are above you most of the time.
I wave all the time. Up Sac way, most are pretty cool.
In some aspects .... Americans have gone away from American cars. Except their la tee da Caddie SUV's or Suburban. jmho !!!
I own foreign cars just don't think in those terms.
Once BA went to the "me firsters' I jumped over the hill and took cover.
It getting pretty bad around here now as well. I might have to jump over another mountain range.

Yea I am not going to lie, I can respect some mustangs not all of them, and as for f-bodies its a rare occasion I wont like it. Some imports arent that bad if you use them right, I wouldnt try to make a race car out of em but Nissan makes some nice drift cars

Seems to me like most Corvette owner are older and enthusists. They don't generally race around believe it or not. They have worked long and hard to get their reward so they don' t want to wreck it.
I'd be buying a Vette except to this day I like the looks and power of my modded Firebird better. I also like the back seats and the extra room for long trips. I figure if I get bored with the power in the next year or two ... I buy a SC .... however, so far power hasn't been as issue with the Firebird as long as I have something more powerful around.
It still depends on where you live and the atitude of the area. Out of the ritz or ricer / rich boy areas .... most Firebird, Camaro, Vette, and GTO owners are cool because they don't have to prove anything and just enjoy a horsepower rush every so often.
Therefore, we wave..... thinking man, these cars are nice. Cool that there are a few still on the road..... There will be a day when high powered V8 will only be owned by cool Hot Rodders. Because no one else we want to burn the gas .... That will be our day !!!!Last edited by Mecinoid; 10-27-2007 at 04:32 AM.
