NBM- 2002 Camaro Z28
FINALLY...im getting a camaro!! any suggestions?!
so after selling my car, i finally get my car!! its being transfered down from conneticut to north carolina...nbm 2002 Z28!!! i cant wait!!! ill post pics as soon as ive picked her up and detailed her!
I already have plans for the car, thinking about getting some cheaper aftermarket headers and y pipe (maybe either flowtech or pacesetter w/a header wrap) with the SLP Loudmouth catback. i've also been thinking about a new cam. it's going to be a daily driver so i dont want a cam too big, but i do want one that'll give is some more power!! what does everyone suggest?! also, other than swapping out the cam, what else do i NEED to change at the same time? lifters, pushrods, etc....
thanks for any suggestions guys, im extremely pumped to be apart of the LS1 world!!

im in the same boat as u man. im not modding it immediately cuz ill barely be able to afford the payments lol (just cuz im 16... damnit) but its still worth it. i can imagine how good u feel, i test drove mine today and could not stop smiling. u will f*in love it, dude... i guarantee it. i should be picking up mine sometime within the next week, im just waitin for a check from the insurance company from a totalled car (long story)...

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
I'd suggest the 1st mod to be SFC's. Otherwise you may end up turning the car into a pretzel.
And if you have any wheel hop issues an adjustable torque arm.
Remember: All that power is useless if you can't put it to the ground.

yeh insurence is a b*tch, I had just turned 19 when I got mine and paid 1260 every 6 months for full coverage, half a car payment. It amazes me when I got married at 27 how I get refunds back on my insurence now and only got deductions at certain ages before. It even amazes me more than getting a deduction at 21

SFC, Lid, LT headers, off road y and catback or x-pipe and true duals, cam kit (may want to look at better oil pump and timing chain while your at it), and a must for a new cam a TUNE. Then after a breaking in period, probably a new BETTER clutch and unfortunately a new rearend unless your lucky.
I would do just the standard bolts ons first: SFC, (torque arm??), LID, LT headers, y or x pipe and exhaust, etc.
Then when ready for serious mods, cam, heads, etc. try to do them at the same time and save some $$$$$ on 1 tune.
The 10 bolt rearends are a hit or miss, some hold up and some have failed with stock power on a M6 car.
Also, some do not like the loudmouth with LT's, you may want to research it before you buy, but if you like it extremely loud you might like them but cops and neighbors do not lol.
Oh, and congrats on the LS1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh and like above, a tune after Lt's may also be needed sooooooooo........
