all headers are guna sound similar.....magnaflows go real nice with these cars when you put headers on em.....if ur on a budget for headers go with pacesetters.....if not QTP or Kooks are good brands.....try to go stainless steal

Unfortunately theres no cheap way around doing things the right way. If your budget is 1g and u want header to tips then u will be forced to buy a cheap set like pacesetters.and probably have to replaced them in a year from the rust.
Save ur money and get some stainless steals. ARH or Kooks are the two best brands out there.

From my experience theres no "Best" cat back, but here's what I've gathered:
SLP Loudmouth: Sounds great with stock manifolds and cats...awful with headers/ORY
Magnaflow: In my opinion the best all around sounding..a bit quiet at idle..u need to go WOT to hear it's potential
Borla: Expensive, but it sounds great with headers and ORY...also u can adjust the sound which is cool...but expensive...
GMMG VERY expensive..but worth it in every aspect...Loud with great tone on stock mani's/cats and headers/ORY

a year??? wow I had mine on for over 2 years and there was no surface rust on them, It would prolly take over 10 years for it to rust through.
surface rust is ONLY a cosmetic issue, other then that it will not effect the performance of the headers or the car.
Pacesetters are a good quality header you can pick up for around 400 bucks. and there Y pipe for another 100 bucks.
about the Cat back, you can get borla, corsa for about 400-500 used in the for sale section here and on TECH. GMMG is going to be a bit more though for a used system.
