Has your car been repainted ever? I noticed the same thing on my car. I believe its caused by the sun. Do you keep your car in a garage? It being a 98-it may be getting to the point where a re paint is needed. You might wanna try a buffer with some polish(I used Pinnacle ultra fine swirl remover on mine) and either a orange or yellow cutting pad, followed by some good wax and see what that does.

could be stress cracks also and can be reduced by subframe connectors.

Stress cracks in the bumper and door? Not doubting the benefit of sub frame connectors but I doubt thats the cause. If it is-my car is now for sale-again. LOL

I have cracks on my top just behind the T-tops. My car has been kept in the garage since new, and only has 29K on it. May just be the paint and plastic combo.

mine does on the top of the front bumper just below the camaro emblem, I thought they were due to flexing

^ sounds like flexing caused by someone bumping into the front of your car.

clg82<-- better listen to this guy. make ur next upgrade subframe connectors. Any kind. Think of nothing else, and buy them. Don't think about it, just do it, and don't look back, you will feel the difference.( This will end body flex, ending the cracks in your paint, and increasing structural strength significantly.)
