Help: My first football game .....?????
I'm really excited: on sunday a week from now, my girl and i are going to watch the bills vs. jets in buffalo. it's our first american football game ever, so we got no clue!!!
so:
1. where can i read some (understandable) rules of the game?
2. are there any rituals, or stuff you just do / eat / drink when you're there? anything i need to know?

Yeah, he didn't explain that too well. Our American tradition of going to a game is tailgating. That's a reference to driving into the stadium parking lot in your pickup truck, dropping the tailgate of the truck and getting your beer and BBQ stuff out and grilling some type of meat. Most of the people get there early before the game and drink, eat and drink so more.
But there are beer taps and food concession stands inside the stadium, just at a higher cost.
I suggest cheering for the home team, you'll get along with everyone else there. You can also ask questions about the game to whoever is sitting next to you. Although ask sparingly as to not piss off the person with too many questions.
Enjoy!!!!

I pretty much agree with everyone else...
Drink beer, eat some BBQ if you get there early enough, sit with the home team fans, and cheer whenever they do, and shout obcenities whenever they do. You'll fit right in

Drink...and drink a lot. These guys have the right idea. Tailgating is awesome if you get there early enough. Although, whenever my friends and I go to a Titans game, we just drink when we park the car, walk around Nashville buzzed, go and eat at Hooters and hit on EVERY waitress in the place while drinking more. Then by the time we get to the game, we're good to go

Touchdown = 6 points. After a touchdown, the team that scores will usually kick it through the big fork thing for an extra point, so a touchdown is pretty much worth 7 points.
You probably won't worry too much with touchdowns, seeing as it's the Bills vs. the Jets.
Bring LOTS of beer. Beer at the Ralph is expensive. Hot Dogs cost $3.50. Three dollars and fifty fucking cents. Don't buy shit unless you absolutely have to, except for beer. Stadium beer is expensive, but it's fucking delicious. Fuck nachos and hot dogs. That's what tailgatings for.
For tailgating at the ralph, get there about 2-3 hours early. If the game's at one, get there at about 10:30-11. It's a huge party, cuz all of buffalo comes together to watch their bills play. Make sure you check out the guy who uses his car as a grill. Really cool to see. Can't remember for the life of me what the car is, but he turned it into a grill and cooks stuff on the hood of it. Bring a camera, take pics. Buy some of the bills merchandise.
Oh, by the way, see you at the game. I'm going too.

104, decnt. That'll be in one of the endzone corners, so you'll be able to see guys score. Or, in this game's case, you'll be able to see the kicker kick field goals...
I think I'm 126...

Look at a color wheel. Find the home teams color. Wear the color opposite on the wheel of the home teams color. Sit in the home section. Cheer for the visitors team. Yell shit at every call that favors the home team. Complain about how the seats at the stadium suck compared to whereever. Take extra napkins from the conession stand and draw pictures of the home teams mascot getting brutally killed and hand them out to people in the section. Get drunk while doing all of the above. Bring seven or eight large friends, you all will last a bit longer making an interesting little show during the timeout in the first quarter.
