Puertorrican LS1 is back and better then before!!!
wow...horrible missfire...it took 3 weeks and close to $1K in repairs... but we finally figured out the problems the car had...and managed to fix it...and it's running great again!
Changed Spark Plugs, Wires....and almost went ahead and swaped the Coils... but the Mechanic went ahead and brought a guy who specializes in reprograming and fixing the car's computer...and as it turns out it was a bit out of wak... then when the missfire still persisted he changed out the MAF and it seemed to almost go away 100%... but there was still something missing...as it turns out the passanger bank O2 sensor had seen better days and after a few weeks of missfires in that bank.. it had finally given up the ghost... so I changed it out myself...and man... is my car BETTER!!!
I did a test pass...in my trusted "back road drag" ... and managed to squeez out 110+mph... in a road in which I hadn't gotten passed 100mph... (from a 15mph till a Road Sign just under 1/4mile away)... and it's roasting them tires pretty nice in 2nd gear...
I'll hit the DYNO as soon as I find a DynoJet that isn't up high... cause my car will curently not clear the ramps of the other dyno I went to before...
so wish me luck guys... hopefully this time with no Missfire I'll do better then the previous time...

Its funny how powerful the LS1 is, but how weak it becomes with a bad 02 sensor. Happened to my old vert, stumbled and sputtered so bad, I was better off walking
Glad you got it all fixed though

Hey Rikki_SeVeN
Great to hear a good report ! Except for the $ spent,
besdies that the info you have put on here will help out someone else if and when they come up against these things. That kind of a problem, where you could not find an immediate solution, would call for patience and that is sometimes difficult to have. A while back you were saying the roads were not to long there in Puerto Rico, I have wondered what a 4.11 or a 4.88 gear
would be like in out cars ? Not too good on fuel no doubt, but wow what a rocket-ship they would be. Hope you enjoy your great car. ( I know I enjoy mine every time I drive her).
jess
