    Anoying Sound!!

My 2000 WS6, makes this cracking noise as if a bolt or frame was bending or cracking, not sure if it is coming from the rear or front, but it sounds like it is the suspension. I took it to a shop and they took a look at it and could not find where it was coming from... I have nothing in my trunk and even took out the spare tire and tools and it still continues to do it. This noise starts after the car has been driven for a period of time, and is noticeable when i speed up slow down jerk the wheel or go over a bump or rough surface.. when passengers or even i get out of the car you can here it aswell.

Does anyone have any clue what it could be or any advice?

my trans am fken creeks too. Its coming from the rear somewhere in the suspension or bushings. I tried WD40ing the shat out of it and the noise still remains. I only hear it when Im going slow and go over a bump or enter or exit the car.

Most likely its the lower control arms. They are notorious for doing this. Anytime you hit a bump or railroad track, etc. it sounds like the rearend is going to fall out. Swap your lower control arms out for some aftermarket ones and it should stop the problem. WD40 won't solve the worn out bushings problem unfortunately

Man could i wrote a book about my car noises... Some from body parts some from suspension..

I was told by the dealership that all the stiffer suspension and polyurethane mounts/bushings might make things sound worse since they "give" less...

I guess noises are jsut going to be a part of life, luckily the exhaust is loud enough to cover most of them
