In N.Y. I used to frequent a 7-11 on Long Island, who am I kidding...lots of 7-11's on L.I.
I was a self-admitted addict, Florida has completely cured me of that, because the water here is downright disgusting, coffee tastes like shit, and instead of having four open quarts of half n' half and 20 quarts of various flavored creamers...and sometimes several different grades of milk as well sitting there in coolers at any given time, you gotta sit there like an asshole opening up these teenietiny little cups, fuck it, they can kiss my ass now.

Anyhow, on to the gruesome part...Since I frequented them so often, naturally, you get to know the people there, there was a beautiful young (white) girl that worked in one, 5'11" long blonde hair, thin and shapely, and since I was going to night school at the time, and she was going to college, we talked about her class choices frequently.

I'm blastin home from work to go home and take a quick shower and grab something to eat before going to school and I can't get up the last block before a turn to get onto my block because there's cops everywhere and I mean there must have been 25-30 cop cars, I had to turn around and find another way, so I get home, rip off my clothes, and jump in the shower.
When I come out I pop on the TV and on the local news is a pic of the girl I've come to know in 7-11, the sound was down, so I turn it up and hear them say..."She was found slumped over in the car, the car apparently had rolled up gently onto this front lawn and was stopped by this tree"...then they show her car against the tree...

That's all I knew, until I came home, and now was able to get to the whole story...she had been shot five times in the head.

I was shocked, I thought she might have swerved as she was slowing down to come to the stop sign to avoid an oncoming car and ended up hitting a tree. This was strange, who the hell would walk up to this girl while she was in her car and shoot her three times in the head?

For months nobody knew who did it, then a break in the case came, apparently she had been seeing a black guy. He became tired of her wanting to know his whereabouts and what he was up to all the time. To boot he thought it was real funny what he did.

How do I know? He was turned in by his own friends who had recorded him saying all that shit and laughing about how he did her in.

Could the same thing have happened if she had been seeing a white guy?

Absolutely...so I vote for no dating at all until she's....IDK...65 to 70 yrs. old.

I'm white and my wife is half black, half Korean. From most outward appearances, she looks black, but has kinda asian shaped eyes. She resembles Garcelle Beauvais (look her up if you don't know) We thought people might give us shit at first, but we got a dirty look from an old white lady once and that's it. And honestly, who gives a fuck what other people think? I'm not going to divorce my wife because some idiot doesn't think races should mix. My step dad is black, 3 of my siblings are half black, my cousins are half mexican, my wife is half black, half Korean and nobody has done anything to us or discriminated against us or anything. I was taught that there are Whites, African Americans, Latinos, and Orientals; then there are White Trash, Niggers, Spicks, and Wops. To me people are Whites, African Americans, Latinos, and Orientals until they have proven to me that they are not, then they are White Trash, Niggers, Spicks, and Wops in my book. I completely agree with this statement.

My parents wouldn't exactly be happy right away if I brought home a guy of a different race, mostly african-american or mexican.. I attribute that mainly to the fact that they were raised in a time when that was what they were taught.. but I also know that I can't date someone that's stupid, and I can't date anyone that isn't a great guy all around, so if that guy was of different color, I think my parents would come around after getting to know him, and be happy about it.

In my own experience.. like at my high school for instance, and a few of my college classes.. the majority of black males have been disrespectful to me. I've had some pretty X-rated things yelled at me just for driving by. (I know, must've been the Z..) That being said, the only people that have yelled haven't been all black or anything.. it's just a majority and what I've experienced.

I've also had my roomate date a black guy, brought him here, he had dreds and all that and baggy clothes.. so, as awful as it was for me to realize.. my first thought was "oh great." I started talking to him.. and he is the most bad ass guy I've ever met!! He's still the funniest person I know, and he's very nice.

Basically.. I agree with most people on the "If he's a great person blah blah blah she can date him." If he's the typical stereotype of Any race.. I probably won't agree with it so much. The stereotype for every single race seems to suck.

Being a native Texan we consider ourselves much more SouthWest than Southerner. I think the miscommunications between you guys is a simple thing really....
The South refers to the plantation environment....Texas was a Ranch environment.

Depends on the person, I guess. I still see "Rebel" flags around here, which I consider a Southern thing. Maybe El Paso is southwest, but I think most people in the eastern half of the state consider it the South. Check the link in my previous post, it clearly explains everything. When i see a hot chick thats not white, it makes it that much harder to get, inturn, making me want it even more.
