    I like the motor, they have worked out most of the kinks too. They do come with a tiptronic style shifter but it's on the gear selector and is uncomfortable when you try to shift manually. The interior was gorgeous and all and the one I test drove had a lift on it and rims and big tires. It was brand new though. It was modded by a company called regency i think they are out of texas. Maybe the lift kit screwed with the truck a little but my friend has a '01 dodge with the cummins. That thing is so fucking loud and blows mad soot out of a single 7" slash cut on the passenger side. You can blow soot right into a window or all over pedestrians. Not too mention he can pull out in 6th gear! Then just run the truck all the way up to 100mph.     cummins are bad ass. two of my buddies have duramax's. ones an 02 and one is an 05, both crew cab regular beds. both have the banks six gun but the 02 has the banks big boss wastegate and the full banks exhaust. its a fucking monster! both of them are.

    i almost bought a 98 cummins 2500 but it was the twelve valve and they are almost obsolete compared to the 24s. still cool as hell though.

    diesels are nuts thats for sure! pull out in 6th...WHOOOOO WEEEE. i want one.

    thanks for going GM sarge! I fucking hate ford trucks - and i have a valid arguement too. At my summer job i drive trucks for a park district. We have a '96 GMC 3500 dump, and then a ton of fords - a '97 F-150, '97 F-250, '05 F-250, and a '05 F350 dump. All of the ford trucks have shitty ass cheap interiors, weak engines, and HORRIBLE brakes. Once you hook up a trailer to the fords you have to stand on the damn brakes to come to a stop - very unsafe.

    The GMC dump is a great truck. Its the oldest in the fleet and runs great. Its got a powerful 454.

    We are always dumping $$ into the damn fords - even the new ones. I asked my boss and he said that they only buy more fords because of their budget - fords are cheaper. They are finally fed up with the fords and this year they said fuck the budge and went and bought a new '07 2500 quad cab chevy. Its a sweet ass truck!! Smokes 'em up real nice!!!!

    We got a brand new Chevy, 1 ton, 4x4, 4 door dually w/ Duramax/Allisson.

    Its like a Cadillac! We hooked up a programmer and the thing is F-in fast and shifts nice.

    All of the Fords have shitty interiors, horrible stearing, and do pretty good towing.

    not all ford trucks have bad interiors. the 04+ f150 has a really nice interior, thats why the new GM's upgraded. theres no way you are telling me ford truck interiors are inferior to a 05 and older chevy. Ford truck brakes sucking ass, that i completely agree with times 100 million. they are awful. the gas engines are really weak, i agree with that. BUt the 6.0 powerstroke is real strong and the new 6.4 is a fucking monster with the twin turbos.

    You ppl and your automatics on diesels... My dads 04 (possibly 05) cummin w/ 6 speed is a NASTY truck... and its unmodded... Who want a standard on a truck... I would say a man would... If you cant pull a trailer with a stick shift you need to have an xray of your crotch and make sure your balls are still there... Especailly a truck with 600 ft/lbs of torque... put it in granny low... let off the clutch and it will pretty much pull itself with no throttle even with 20 bails of hay behind it...

    I agree the autos will go faster than the manuals but also blow up faster than the manuals...And hell yea when you got that much power of course you want to shift.

    Cummins > Duramax > John deere deisel lawn mower > Powerchoke.

    Even then, GM is contesting that a majority of the injector issues are due to quality of diesel.
