Then you have nothing to worry about as this is not a problem w/ the Camaro door panels.

It does not bulge anymore? Hmm, I thought it would be the opening and shutting of the door that caused them to break.

But from what you are saying, it sounds like it is from the window going up and down?

I got a new dremel for christmas and it made the job so much easier. I just cut the staples out. It probably would've taken all day if I had to pull em out.

I have a concern when doing this mod.
The screw protrudes through the back of the panel where it lips over the door. After the extra threads of the screw are cut off, all that is left is the nut on the back side. How does this not effect the fitment of the door panel?

it doesnt..the top of the screw is on the top side. i did it with 4-40 machine screws 1/2 and everything worked fine.

Thanks a lot man I just did my door as you suggested and when I removed the door I noticed that the door was already done but with rivets and it had a gap in the break. I did what you listed but duck taped the panel togheter then used plastic good and that glue actually is flexible when dried and now you can see a small line onle you have to know it's there. I hope that it holds...

Pulling an engine and trans is alot of work! Pulling a door panel to prevent a crack is easy! DO IT! You don't want them to crack do you?
