cat back setup for now
Any opinions on the loudmouth slp cat back system? And has anybody done a base chassis dyno before and after. Or on any other systems for that matter. Future plans for next year are ceremic headers and a new Y pipe, as well as a paxton supercharger with dual aftercoolers. I am new to the forum and would appreciate any info. Thanks in advance. John

generally all your catbacks are going to flow within 5hp of eachother... generally make your choice on sound in the long run you'll be much happier basing your decission on that rather then just getting your max hp extract.
If I had to guess however, I would say Loud Mouth highest flowing and Flowmaster worst flowing...
There are alot of choices out there for catbacks
top three I would say are Magnaflow, Corsa, Borla
Borla being throaty and mellow
Corsa being loud and raspy
Magnaflow is a happy medium and the cheapest out of the three

I have the SLP loudmouth 1 catback system on my car, as it came with the car, and I love the sound. I have the stock y pipe, and stock exhaust manifolds, and it sounds excellent in my opinion. It is pretty loud for just a catback, and with headers and no cats it would be very loud.

If you decide on slp loudmouth, after headers and no cats it become VERY loud and raspy. Kinda similar to a old dumptruck with rusted out exhaust system. I have only heard good things about gmmg exhaust systems.
Just curious why are you going with paxton supercharger over the pro charger system?

Thanks for the .02
Blackbird, Zachj03, Bouvers, 00WS6bluemettalic, thanks for the info. I bought the loud mouth 2 setup and will install tonight. Tha front is stock for now, next year for the front and Y pipe (I will watch and see what fits the best). As for the Paxton, I liked the fact that it didn't use engine oil to plum it and create heat like the Vortech. Let me know what you like about the procharger and I will take a look at it. Thanks again. John
