Bad Clutch??

A Buddy of mine's camaros is having issues going into reverse. At times it will work but most of the time it just grinds. It feels like the clutch is releasing high (clutch pedal almost all the way disengaged). I'm pretty sure this is the clutch that's bad but not 100%. Any info or experience would be good...

i too am having a problem keeping it in reverse, it always pops out and if a'm not holding it in there really tight it will pop out and grind like a mofo

and problems with any of the other gears?

I'm not sure... I can call him later and find out... also when you put it into the forward gears, the car acts like it's ready to move without letting the clutch be engaged first...

sounds like it could be a problem with hydraulic release system
