Mach 1 kill and death
Got me a Mach 1 while I was out tuning earlier. Tranny was slipping at highway speeds so that's what I was trying to get worked out, and I recently reduced spark so I could run 87 octane - I have two files now, one for typical use and one for the track.
Anyway, he revved at me as he pulled past at a light so I got behind him, ready for my first kill on the street in this car. We went from 50 or so to around 90 and I pulled half a car and then slowly walked a little bit before we shut down for a light. The second run was better for him, my tune was a little fuzzy around 4k which explains why, after pulling a full car on him through first even after he got the jump on me, my car fell on its face upon shifting into second and spinning the tires. He began pulling some and I had to shut down for a car that was about to pull into my lane.
All in all, couple of good runs. He had the 5 spd mach 1 with cold air, 31 spline axles (he might have had 3.73's but didn't say so) and some sort of exhaust he also didn't mention, it was louder than hell (even considering it was a mustang!).
I changed a few things in HPTuners after this run and turned tq management back on for the 1-2 shift to minimize that godawful spinning and the deadspot that follows. I think it would be my race if we ran again but he had a very fast car, I was happy my lid/cutout/tune/full weight including full tank of gas ls1 could hang. Even simply the fact that he had the manual should have meant he would pull me since our mods were so similar I would think and I credit the !MAF mod with giving me the edge.

Nice runs! Ford did their job right with those Mach 1's.

Good kill and death!
I was waiting for a buddy in a parking lot last weekend, just leaning on my car and 2 guys in a blue mach 1 rolled by and we had the 2 way stare down. I gave him a head nod, and he did the same, then he came back up the parking lot givin her hell. Definately nice and quick cars, though his sounded pretty much stock.
