2000 Grand Prix GTP- 2000 Trans Am WS6 M6
Funniest Thing Happened Last Night
I was coming home from work last night and as I pulled up to a Red Light, I come up next to this early 2000s Civic sitting at the light, and it has one of those temporary donuts on the front drivers side. It was nice out so I had my windows down. When I stop the Civic driver starts revving at me. I laughed out loud and looked over at him. It was some punk with his hat on sidways and his "girl" sitting next to him. I say "girl" becuase it looked like a man with boobs, but that's beside the point. Here's the convo we had while waiting for the light to change:
Me: Should you be trying to race with a donut on? Aren't they only rated to 55mph?
Him: I'll be fine, I'll be way ahead of you before we even reach 55mph.
Me: *laughs* Ok, lets go.
He revs again, and I rev Nymphadora to 4k (cutout is open and he's on my right)...it was funny to see him and his "girl" put their hands over their ears.
WEll, light turns green and I half throttle it through 1st and 2nd, to keep him right next to him while he's redlining. When I hit 3rd and go WOT, I hear this loud pop (freaked the hell outta me, cause I thought I'd blown another rear end). All of a sudden, I see his headlights swerving all over the road behind me...HE BLEW HIS DONUT OUT!!! I slow down, with the intention of pulling over with him to help him out, cause I don't think he had another spare. I pull over on the side of the road, and he goes by me at about 10-15 mph, with his front end real close to the ground cause he was driving on the donut's rim, heading towards the gas station about a half mile up the road. As he goes by he has his hand out the window giving me the one finger salute of defeat.
I was laughing all the way home...2000 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 M6: 427ci LS3, Built T56, Moser 9" w/ 4.11 Gearing, Full Suspension, and 6-point Cage.

Sounds like you just tried to be a good person and he turned out to be a d1ck. Most people wouldn't even have tried to help..

69 hugger orange- 98 z28
luckily you got out front before the tire blew
i kind of had a similiar thing happen,i figured this guy i knew wasnt going to be able to let off the throttle of his new ls1 ,and he wanted to race and i tryed not to because i knew it was a bad idea, but you know money and namecalling can usually bring the worst out of anyone
anyway as soon as i pull around him i can hear his tires squalling and look in the rear view to see his lights going off the side of the road
he let out just in time to not nail a fence
every since then if i have a feeling i dont race

Pewter- 2002 T/A WS6
Wow.. what a moron. Hopefully he learned his lesson(s) and wont A) race with a donut on, or even drive around like that for that matter - get some realy tires and realize donuts are to just get you to a safe spot to park.. and B) not try to race an LS1 in his n/a Honda (it was N/A wasn't it? lol) and be so cocky about it.
Judging by his attitude with the one finger salute to you when trying to help him I'd say he got exactly what he deserved (severe embarassment).

i think i would have had to pull in behind him at that gas station and have a little talk about his finger problem, or the problem he would have with his finger if he ever did it again. god i hate people like that.

An a-hole civic driver like that probably thinks you were WOT the whole time, and that he would have won if he wasn't on his spare.
