    Single exhaust with 4" tip???

I am planning on running a 3" flowmaster 10 series with a single exit because my car has single exit on the left side right now but the work is horrible. should i have a 3 going to 3.5" tip welded on or 3 going to 4" tip welded on? I might change my exhaust to duals in the somewhat near future but i need something quick and cost effective and since i dont have the factory dual tips i am going to just go with single exit by the left side to keep the cost down. Anyone got any pictures? My other option is the exhaust that this car in the link http://www.z28.com/forum/showthread.php?t=107465 but i think it looks cheap.

I would do like the car in the link. I don't like single exit exhaust unless it is tucked away from sight like the one in the link.

Mufflex does something similar but with a spintech muffler. FYI

I would just tuck it away too, otherwise, it might look like a diesel truck with a 4" tip, maybe

Here's my "just finished today, homemade" setup, but maintains 3" from Y pipe to tip...Tip is barely visible from the side or rear...unless you're on the ground, like my camera was, LOL...

I'd say forget the flowmaster and get true duels.

Don't have a Flowmaster, but I hear ya...
I might even agree...if Maryland law didn't require exhaust to clear body.

Not even a consideration for me to have dumped duals, since they are asking for safety inspection tickets in my neighborhood. Once I get a ticket then I not only get to find two catalytic converters, but I get to make them work. And if inspector is a prick, I get to remove my non AIR equipped headers....No way/no how is that risk worth it to me for a couple horsepower, plus after owning a "dumped" exhaust car in the past, I already know I hate how they sound inside the car.
The only duals I've seen that have tailpipes are Bassani, which are overpriced, designed for stock manifolds and butt ugly IMHO...

Thanks. I am happy with it.
I know it outflows most, if not all, non cutout equipped crossflow mufflered catbacks, and that was the goal...flow cheaply, lol.

I think it's just a matter of preference...some swear by the "bullet" type, some swear by the oval shaped straight through type, and some swear by the chambered type, which is what I have. So far, I'm happy with what I chose to use.
